I forgot to say that while up in Telford we stayed in a lovely guest house, it's called Willow Guest House and is in Wellington. Our room was very comfortable the owners were the most friendly ones we had ever met. Breakfast was amazing, you had a choice of cereal, fruit juices, toast, jam or marmalade, coffee and teas (including herbal tea) and a fried breakfast with a choice of fried, scrambled or poached eggs. The sausages and bacon were all locally bought and the portions were great. We stayed with 2 other couples and were made to feel very welcome, we all said we'd have no hesitation in going back there if we are up that way again. dining room
We stayed 2 nights there and on the second night we all went over to the pub opposite for a carvery. At 8 pm Dave, the onwer of the guest house joined us for a drink and chat, we sat chatting until 11 am. So, if you want a guest house in that area, look up willow guest house, Wellington, http://www.telfordguesthouse.co.uk
